What is AllCoin?
AllCoin is the digital home for challenge coins and the stories behind them. Two things you can do here:
- Preserve a coin you already own: free, forever.
- Create brand-new digital coins with permanent, verified provenance (a tamper-proof record of who made the coin and everyone who has held it) and hand them out.
Everything starts with a photo.
The core idea
Physical vs digital
There are two kinds of coins on AllCoin. Here is the difference:
Physical coin
- What it is
- A coin you own and are holding onto
- Verified?
- No. We don't know who made it, so the record is self-reported
- Cost
- Free to preserve and share, always
- Can add video?
- No
- Lives on the blockchain?
- No
Digital coin
- What it is
- An official coin created on AllCoin (can be the twin of a physical coin, or stand alone)
- Verified?
- Yes. We verify the creator, so the coin's provenance is trusted for everyone who holds it
- Cost
- See Cost below
- Can add video?
- Yes, up to 5 minutes
- Lives on the blockchain?
- Yes. The record can't be faked, changed, or lost
First five minutes
Quick start
New here? Do these three things:
- Create your account: name and email, about 30 seconds.
- Add your first coin: snap a photo of a coin you own and preserve it.
- Share your collection so others can see your coins.
Getting in
Create an account
Go to Sign up. All we need is a name and an email address. You don't have to use your real name: nicknames or initials are fine. Phone, photo and bio are optional.
Preserve
Preserve a coin you have
Preserving means saving a coin you already own to your collection. It's free, always.
- Click + Add Coin at the top and choose Preserve a coin I have.
- Upload a photo of the coin. This is the only required step; you can add everything else later.
- Give it a name, tell its story, and add the date if you know it.
- Hit Upload Coin.
You've been given a coin
Someone sent you a coin?
Got a text or email saying someone sent you a coin? Here's how to claim it:
- You get an email saying the sender shared a coin with you on AllCoin. Open it and tap Claim your coin.
- The link opens the AllCoin sign-up screen with your email already filled in.
- Create your free account. Only a name and email are required; photo, phone and bio are optional, and your real name is not required.
- If you already have an account, use the Sign in tab instead.
- The coin then appears in your collection under My Coins.
Create
Create and give out digital coins
Creating (minting) makes a brand-new official digital coin with verified, permanent provenance: trackable, tamper-proof, and easy to see who you've given coins to.
Once you're vetted
- Click + Add Coin and choose Create a new coin to give out.
- Name it and write its story.
- Add front and back images.
- Set the supply limit: how many can exist.
- Mint.
Add video
Digital coins can include a video up to 5 minutes: the coin's story, your story, your organization's story, whatever fits.
Give it away
Send a coin
Sending gives someone a copy of a digital coin you've created.
- Go to My Coins and click Send a Coin.
- Pick the coin from your issued supply. You'll see how many are left, for example "274 available".
- Send it to an AllCoin member, an organization, or any email address, even someone who's never heard of AllCoin.
Find your way around
Your collection and the menu

Your public wall
Your collection has its own public page and link. This is your "wall", the way people see your coins. Click Share Now to send it anywhere. Every coin also has its own page and link.
The rest of the menu
- Library: discover and explore coins from the whole community.
