Lieutenant General Beagle's Retirement Coin

The story

This retirement coin was designed and minted in 2025 to mark the culmination of a 35-year journey of service, leadership, and shared experience. Unlike traditional coins that read “Presented for Excellence,” this coin intentionally states, “Presented for Being a Part of My Journey.” That distinction matters. It reflects a belief that no career is built alone, and that the true measure of service is found in the people alongside you. The unit insignia displayed represent the organizations where I had the privilege to serve. For those who receive this coin, each symbol carries shared memories of missions, challenges, growth, and trust built over time. It is not simply a record of assignments, but a visual map of relationships forged across decades. This coin is offered as a personal expression of gratitude. It recognizes those who helped guide, challenge, and serve with me along the way. More than a token, it is a reminder that leadership is a collective effort, and that every step of the journey is shaped by the people who walk it with you.
